Why I'm taking a small hiatus from soapmaking.
It's been a while since you've heard from me, and I'm sorry about that.
In addition to making soaps, I also work a full-time office job. Over the last few years I've been experiencing some hand pain, stubbornly pushing through it to get stuff done!
Well, that caught up to me. About a year ago I discovered I had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and for the last 6 months or so the pain was pretty constant. I worked with my doctors doing different therapies and trying different things, but they all lead to surgery.
For the last few batches of soap that I've made, I noticed that I needed to rely on my partner more and more to prep and make everything. I put the soapmaking on hold at that point.
I had the necessary surgery on May 7th, and have no plans to make soaps for at least the next 3 months. Making is my passion, and I'm willing to take my time and focus on healing with full strength and mobility, so I can come back better than ever.
In the meantime, I've got some big plans for my return! I'm researching and reformulating. Looking into new product lines that I can offer, and (possibly) updating packaging. I can't wait to get back into making soaps for you. In the meantime I appreciate your understanding during this healing time.
Right now, I've put all of my remaining product on sale! Everything in the shop is Buy 1 Get 1 50% off. Stock up on your favorites, and I'll be back with new products before you run out!
Im sorry about your hands. May you heal soon. Many blessings.
